Acrylic Landscape Painting

I chose to paint this landscape because I love places like the beach and lake. So I went on Google and typed easy outdoor scenery's, found a couple and combined them all.  This specific painting is a lake scene.  I used a mixture of colors following the analogous color scheme.  Those colors include greens and blues. The paint used to for this is acrylic paint; it was cool paint, but dried quick and clumpy.  The light source come from above to follow the outdoors theme, therefore the light source is within the sky area.  I used several brush strokes within this painting.  I used spotting for the clouds and trees; back and forth for the sky, sand, and water; and then circular strokes for the rocks.  Sadly I forgot to add value into my painting so I don't have much to say about that!:(

Tree Painting

This tree Isn't the best but it was a hit at my art table.  Everyone was making jokes and we were all laughing at how it looks.  I personally love this tree because it describe me.  Funny and not caring what others thinks.  It was suppose to be a palm tree and to you it may or may not look like one.  I made a floor ground with side to side strokes.  The tree trunk was up and down strokes. And the leaves and branches were random, fun strokes.

Shoe Design

This is a shoe drawing for the Vans design. I had just gotten out of the hospital and was really upset about catching up on school work because I'm already a horrible student.  So to try and stay positive I just put "Be Happy" and went with it.  First I just sketched out a shoe and colored and wrote on it.  Then I realized that this was not correct for the Vans contest so I could not submit it.

Ceramics Project

The medium of the project is clay and the size that was measures is 9in by 3in.  The design element that was stressed is a radial design that looks like a star.  Slab and hump is the technique used to create the project.  Right now my piece is serving as a key, sticky note, paper clip, and random objects holder on my kitchen counter.  What I learned is a bunch of vocab and that I need to start taking my time on artwork.  If I could change anything about this project or I guess any project is to not be absent so much.

Pastel Still Life Project

I planned this composition by looking around Mrs. Brokke's room for something easy to draw.  A thumbnail sketch is a tiny sketch of your artwork.  The viewfinder helped a lot, it helped me decide what to draw and what to eliminate.  I made items three dimensional by adding shadows and shading.  The light source was created by adding very light colors in specific areas to the artwork.
